Artist’s Statement

Wherever I am in the world I let my reasoning break open and I achieve inseparability with the awe of the place , its luminescence, my imagination, and my oil pigment. She (being Nature) shrouded in her radiant mystery charges me to create an image of color patches of radiance. My color palette is supple as in Nature, yet my spirited strokes are powerful and energetic of my own unique calligraphy. Often my students, collectors and galleries comment they appear arbitrary up close but define forms when viewed from the proper distance. The color patches as strokes of varying texture are integrated on another stratum of abstract motif, which synthesizes into an orderly ensemble.
